Dr. Jimmy Alburquerque grew up in the Dominican Republic. He has been exposed to dentistry since his early days by his mother, father and grandfather, who were dentists and inspired him to pursue the profession. Most of his teenage summers were spent in Northern Virginia with his uncle and cousins.
Dr. Alburquerque graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in 2010 and pursued advanced dental education in São Paulo University - FOB, one of the top dental schools in Brazil. In the United States, he received his Dental Degree from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. While in school, he was actively involved in the American Dental Student Association, Academy of General Dentistry and was recognized by the Boston Chapter International College of Dentist for his outstanding academic and leadership accomplishments.
Dr. Alburquerque has completed extensive Continuing Education courses in root canal therapy, implant dentistry, dental cosmetics, laser dentistry and clear aligners. He is constantly looking for new opportunities to enhance his knowledge and clinical skills to better serve his patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Alburquerque enjoys spending quality time outdoors with his wife and dog. He also enjoys cooking, traveling, tennis and soccer.
