Meet Our Doctors
Dr. John Schwerer is a Florida native, being born and raised in Fort Pierce. He has been serving this area since 1987 in the practice of restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Schwerer is a graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Dr. Schwerer received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. After three years of advanced clinical dentistry training in the United States Navy, he was awarded a Certificate of Commendation and Navy Achievement medal for outstanding contributions in General Dentistry.
In the practice of General Dentistry, he has acquired over 5,000 hours of advanced dental education, with an emphasis on all phases of restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry including:

- Children’s Dentistry
- Cosmetic Dentistry (Tooth whitening, bonding and porcelain veneers)
- Implant Therapy
- Oral Surgery & Extractions
- Periodontics (Gum health)
- Restorative Dentistry (Crowns, bridges, dentures and partial dentures)

- Temporomandibular Joint Therapy (TMJ)
- Sleep Apnea

Dr. Schwerer and his wife Laura have four children and three grandchildren. He enjoys boating, golf, tennis, snow skiing and enjoying time with his family.
The mission of my practice is to nurture the spirit of every individual I touch and to constantly elevate my knowledge, and, in return, my patient’s knowledge. I strive to be a teacher and provider of ideal general and dental health. I am dedicated to integrity and excellence in everything I do.
